Immediate start, 5 minutes southeast of the city, weekly payroll processing for 400 staff (construction services industry)
Location: Inner suburbs, southeast from Adelaide CBD (circa 2km from city)
Duration: Immediate start - casual position - initially a three month requirement and then reviewed monthly as a casual requirement thereafter

Payroll processing: For circa 400 workers with weekly pay cycles

About the role:
- Honouring privacy and confidentiality, you will be required to support the processing of weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain payroll processing system and records
- Calculate employee net pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
- Manage payment/processes related to Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Child Support, BIRST and Portable Long Service Leave
- Answer employee questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
- Coordinate requests for leave
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant laws and legislation
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
- Complete payroll reports
- Maintain personnel records including internal databases as required
About you:
- Previous experience (5 years +) as a Payroll Officer/ processing payroll for multiple workers
- Experience working with EBA's/Awards is highly desirable
- Have attention to detail, with great record-keeping skills, including being experienced with spreadsheets
- Confident and clear communication skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Extensive experience with payroll software - UKG Payroll Metrics preferred, but not essential
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel
- Able to multi-task and work to deadlines
You will be immediately available or currently coming to the end of a current temp position/contract, and you will be able to commit to at least a 3-month duration casual booking (ideally longer).
