Our client is a leader in the dimension stone industry, producing high quality granite for projects across Australia and beyond. They are looking for motivated, safety focused Quarry Machine Operators to join their growing team at their granite Quarry, approximately 90km from Darwin.

About the Roles:
As a Quarry Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient extraction of dimension stone granite. Your responsibilities will include:
• Operating quarry machinery including Excavators and Loaders
• Carrying out daily mining activities such as drilling, cutting with diamond wire saw & wheel saw (training provided if required) and loading
• Extracting granite blocks while maintaining strict quality standards
• Conducting pre shift inspections of equipment, pit and work areas
• Actively participating in daily pre start meetings and safety initiatives
• Monitoring equipment performance and working with maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Working collaboratively with the quarry team to meet production targets
• Maintaining full compliance with company safety policies and procedures

Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a surface mining or quarry environment
• Strong understanding of quarry operations and heavy machinery
• Experience operating Excavators, Loaders, and similar plant
• White Card
• Current plant/machinery operation tickets or VOC
• A valid driver's licence
• Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding role and in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Highly regarded:
• Experience in dimension stone granite or marble quarry
• Formal mine safety training
