High-Volume Recruitment | Compliance Focus | Osborne/Port Adelaide Office
RED Appointments is seeking an experienced Recruiter to support a well established SA operation delivering work within a defence aligned environment. This is a hands-on, fast-paced recruitment role with full accountability for sourcing, screening and onboarding Painter/Blasters, while ensuring all candidates meet strict Defence compliance requirements.
You will take ownership of end-to-end blue-collar recruitment, including phone screening, compliance checks, creating employee files, and managing onboarding through HR Bamboo.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to step into a 4-5 day per week assignment where your organisation, communication and common-sense approach will directly support workforce readiness. This is a 2-3 month temporary contract, ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume recruitment and structured compliance processes.
About the Role
Based at either the Osborne or Port Adelaide office, you will manage:
• High-volume recruitment of Blue Collar Trades
• Phone screening, shortlisting and coordinating onboarding
• Compliance checks including Australian Citizenship, police clearances, medicals, licences and tickets
• Creating and maintaining employee files
• Using HR Bamboo for onboarding, contracts and documentation
• Supporting reporting requirements and maintaining accurate records
• Working closely with a practical, down-to-earth team
Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm Days: 4-5 days per week Duration: 2-3 months

About You
You are a approachable recruiter who values clear communication, strong relationships, and practical outcomes, who thrives in busy operational environments and enjoys talking to people, solving problems and keeping processes moving.
You bring:
• Experience in blue-collar recruitment (essential)
• Ability to manage high-volume candidate flow
• Strong compliance and onboarding experience
• HRIS experience (HR Bamboo highly regarded)
• SA-based with car & licence
• Ability to pass all Defence-related checks
• Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
• Ability to complete National Police Check and pre-employment medicals
