Our client is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Risk & Assurance Support Officer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
In this key support role, you will provide essential coordination and administrative assistance to the Risk & Assurance function and the broader Power Services team, helping to ensure the effective delivery of risk management, compliance and assurance activities across the organisation.

About the Role
Working closely with Risk Owners, internal stakeholders and the wider Power Services group, you will support the organisation's risk, compliance and assurance processes. This position is fast-paced and varied, requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and/or coordinate risk review sessions with stakeholders
  • Maintain the enterprise risk register and support risk owners with risk and control reviews
  • Support routine risk, compliance and assurance monitoring activities
  • Assist with compliance and internal audit reviews, including preparation and organisation of documentation
  • Maintain and update compliance registers, mapped obligations and evidence records, including HERCS
  • Support data collection and preparation for regulatory reporting (AER, Utilities Commission, etc.)
  • Assist with internal audits, including action tracking and follow-up
  • Provide administrative support and backfill across the broader Power Services team as required
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
Selection Criteria - Essential
  • Exposure to or experience in risk, compliance, governance or audit environments
  • Experience maintaining registers, supporting reporting processes or working within regulatory frameworks
  • Strong administration, coordination and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage workload and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational capability
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across teams
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to take initiative
Desirable
  • Experience within utilities, government or other highly regulated sectors
